Reservations

Due to the popularity of the areas we visited along the coast of Oregon and California, we made our campground reservations for those and Crater Lake when they were released (six months in advance). Zion, we managed to pick up two cancellations totaling a week, and the rest of our trip was flexible. Flexibility was vital as we re-routed several times due to weather and the numerous fires in Oregon.

Permits/passes

  • National Park Pass
  • Nevada State Parks – we chose the Annual All Access Pass (includes dry camping)
  • Oregon State Parks – access included with camping
  • California State Parks – access included with camping
